# API Overview

> Hopae Connect v2 has two surfaces: the OIDC provider for the hosted flow, and the Verification REST API. Both use your App ID and App Secret.

| Surface | Base URL | Use it for |
| :- | :- | :- |
| **OIDC** | `https://connect.hopae.com/v2` (issuer `https://connect.hopae.com`) | The hosted flow. See [Base URL](/v2/api-reference/oidc/base-url) |
| **Verification REST API** | `https://api.hopae.com/connect/v2` | Driving a verification from your backend |

Both authenticate with the app's App ID and App Secret. See [Authentication](/v2/api-reference/authentication).

## REST endpoints

| `GET` | `/connections` | Connections your app can verify with |
| `POST` | `/verifications` | Start a verification |
| `GET` | `/verifications/{verificationId}` | Check the status |
| `GET` | `/verifications/{verificationId}/userinfo` | Read the result |
| `DELETE` | `/verifications/{verificationId}` | Cancel |
| `POST` | `/verifications/{verificationId}/dc-request` | `dc` only: get the wallet request to run on your own page |
| `POST` | `/verifications/{verificationId}/dc-response` | `dc` only: submit the wallet's answer |
