# Quickstart

> Run your first verification in a few minutes with a sandbox app: from the Console without code, or with three API calls.

You will verify a Smart-ID test identity with a sandbox app. No sample project, no redirect setup.

## 1. Create a sandbox app

In the [Console](https://console.hopae.com), create a **sandbox** app and choose **Quickstart**. Quickstart activates every connection available in Sandbox and creates a default workflow, so the app is ready to verify.

## 2. Run a verification

  <Tab title="In the Console (no code)" icon="mouse-pointer">
    1. Open **Verification → Workflow** and open the workflow's **verification link**.
    2. In the hosted flow, choose **Lithuania**, then **Smart-ID**.
    3. Enter the test registration id `PNOLT-40504040001`.

    When the verification finishes, the Console shows the data your app would receive.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="With the API" icon="terminal">
    Copy the **App ID** and **App Secret** from **Developers → API Settings**, then:

    ```bash Create theme={null}
    curl -X POST "https://api.hopae.com/connect/v2/verifications" \
      -u "APP_ID:APP_SECRET" \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
      -d '{"connectionId": "smart-id", "userInput": {"registrationId": "PNOLT-40504040001"}}'
    ```

    The response has a `verificationId` and `status: "awaiting_user_action"`. The test identity needs no phone. It answers within a few seconds. Check the status:

    ```bash Status theme={null}
    curl "https://api.hopae.com/connect/v2/verifications/VERIFICATION_ID" \
      -u "APP_ID:APP_SECRET"
    ```

    Repeat until `status` is `completed`, then read the result:

    ```bash Result theme={null}
    curl "https://api.hopae.com/connect/v2/verifications/VERIFICATION_ID/userinfo" \
      -u "APP_ID:APP_SECRET"
    ```

    ```json theme={null}
    {
      "user": { "name": "OK TESTNUMBER", "birthdate": "1905-04-04", "nationality": "LT" },
      "hopae_loa": 4,
      "verification_model": "disclosure",
      "sub": "019bc4f2-8a31-7c5e-9d02-4f7a1b3e60d8"
    }
    ```
  </Tab>
</Tabs>
